Welcome to Meditations with Desi, and I'm Desi Hall, and in this episode I have a prayer and affirmation for those moments when life is lifing. And if you aren't familiar with what that means, it is a phrase that those in my generation, those who are just active in communities that I'm in, like to say. When life is a bit chaotic and you don't really know how to put it all into words or you just don't feel like it. So you just say life is life. So this prayer is for that moment, those moments. I hope that you get what you need and I hope that this is valuable for you.
Speaker 1:When life is lifing, god remind me that you are guiding. When life is lifing, I pray that you remember that your lungs are breathing, your heart is beating and you can focus on doing the next thing that's right in front of you. When life is lifing, I pray you find community, friends, family that show you the best of humanity, the best that this world has to offer, the best of the good times and the bad. If you find yourself in the trenches, I pray that you are there with trench buddies who will hold you while you walk out of that dark place. When life is lifing, I pray that you are able to find a moment to smile, a moment to laugh and a moment to take a deep breath. If you find yourself feeling lonely, I pray God finds a new way to shower you with love and immerse you in the presence of God. If you find yourself without money, I pray ways are made out of no way on your behalf. I pray through the fire, through the rain, whatever comes your way, that resources make their way to you and your needs are always met. May you experience the abundance of just enough when you think you don't have enough. When life is lifing, I pray that you are divinely inspired with new ways to deepen your practices of mindfulness, prayer, self-love, whatever brings you stillness in the chaos when life is lifing, I pray that you find moments to appreciate yourself, to appreciate your beauty where you are now, to appreciate your body where it is now, to appreciate your finances, your circumstances, these things. They are molding you, they are shaping you, they are forming you into the person that you have always dreamed of being. And as you grow, as you change, as life lives, as things shift, remember that you are protected, remember that you are anointed, remember that your steps are ordered.
Speaker 1:When life is lifing, I pray for comfort. I pray for your comfort. I pray that you are able to sleep at night. I pray that you're able to find moments to breathe, to appreciate nature, to appreciate the people around you, to appreciate yourself more and more. Appreciate the ways in which you're walking through circumstances in which you have no guide, appreciate the ways in which you are walking through circumstances that no one has ever walked before, and appreciate the ways in which you are walking the circumstances that everyone has walked before, but you're doing it differently. You're doing it in a way that is authentic to yourself.
Speaker 1:When life is lifing, I pray that you become bolder and more authentic than ever. I pray that you are able to ignore the pressure to shrink, the pressure to hide, the pressure to cower, the pressure to see yourself as less than who you are, as less than what you are. I pray that when life is lifing, your spirit presses the foot on the gas and you are revitalized with the knowledge and with the wisdom of who you are, with the wisdom of where you come from, of where you come from. When life is lifing, I pray that you are able to be reminded through music, through nature, through TV, through film, through movies, through the leaves, through the wind, through water, through everything that you encounter that you do not walk alone and that you are protected. I pray that you remember that you are empowered by the wisdom and experiences of your ancestors that came before you. When life is lifing, I pray that your spiritual, physical and mental immune systems fortify and get stronger. I pray that God increases your protection, that you are covered in his divine light, that you are shielded in the glow of her embrace. I pray that you are able to feel your emotions and that you are released from the shackles of an untold story. From the shackles of an untold story. I pray that you find safe spaces that allow you to grieve, to grow, to glow and be everything that you are at any given time. When life is lifing, I pray that you find yourself in spaces where you don't have to choose and you get to be a whole person and hold multiple truths. When life is lifing, I pray that you find yourself surrounded by people that care about you.
Speaker 1:When life is lifing, I pray that you are able to accept the separations of those who no longer serve you. I pray that you are able to lovingly say no, thank you for the things that aren't good for you. May you remember that you are whole, that you are beautiful, that you are protected, that you are God's light in this world manifested, that you are God's love in this world manifested, and God wants the best for you. Your ancestors want the best for you. I'm sorry that things are hard right now and I pray that the pressure eases up soon.
Speaker 1:Whitney Houston said take me far away from the battle In her song. I look to you and I pray the same thing for you. I pray that you are taken away from the chaos of the battle to a place of peace, a place where you can think, a place where you can reflect on how to adjust, how to realign and how to move forward. I pray that you're able to move forward in places that you've been stuck. I pray a very long time.
Speaker 1:It's okay. It's okay. We've all been there, we've all had life, life, and I pray that you're able to breathe through this moment.
